MUSCULO-SKELETAL REHABILITATION

Resistance Sports Science's Accredited Exercise Physiologists prescribe exercise to reduce your pain and manage musculo-skeletal injuries.

We can assist you to improve posture and gait (walking) as well as both pre- and post- surgery. We often work together with Allied Health Professionals including Surgeons, General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists and Chiropractors in order to improve your rate of recovery.

REHABILITATION

An individually tailored exercise program can bridge the gap between the acute stages of injury and returning you to the exercise and lifestyle you love. We commonly see individuals who have received physiotherapy treatment for the acute stages of injury, but are not yet at a level to jump back in to the activities they love.

PRE-HABILITATION

Pre-hab training is designed to prepare the affected area prior to surgery by strengthening the surrounding muscles. This can greatly reduce the impact of surgery and improve the effectiveness of rehabilitation, which can reduce your recovery time.

Common injuries we treat:

  • Lower back pain / bulged discs

  • Neck, shoulder, and hip pain

  • Knee pain / ACL rehab

  • Rotator cuff rehab

  • Shoulder dislocation

  • Ankle and wrist sprains

Chronic Musculoskeletal conditions (6 months or more) may be eligible for referral under Medicare’s Enhanced Primary Care scheme.

We also treat musculoskeletal conditions associated with Workcover claims.
